Saori Weaving
Founded in Osaka, Japan more than 40 years ago by Misao Jo, the name SAORI literally means "weaving with individual dignity", from the joining of two Japanese words: "Sa" from Zen vocabulary, means everything has its own unique dignity, and "ori" means weaving. The beautiful, unique creations from Semiahmoo House Society are hand-woven on specially-designed Saori looms that can be used by individuals with physical challenges.
